After 3 days in the middle of nowhere, without network and with more than 300 km of pure terrain in the Andes, I managed to reach Uyuni!
Basically 3 days before I left San Pedro de Atacama towards Bolivia, when I arrive at the border I realize that there is no road in this country, just the worst road I have seen in my life … so far so good, I do a few more kilometers and arrive at the entrance to the national park, where one of the workers tells me that only 4×4 vehicles and enduro or trail bikes can enter the park… he said that mainly it couldn’t, that the bike hardly passed in the area where I had to go, and to moreover, in the event of a fall there was no network for the next 300km, the temperature during the night was always below -10 degrees and few vehicles circulated on these roads … and still enjoyed the demonic xd After I asked for it please, having said that the demonic was a trail and having said that it was my responsibility, I got permission to enter there.
On the first day I had to go to a customs office that was 80 km away to take care of the papers on the bike in Bolivia, then I went back a few kilometers back to be able to sleep in a refuge that had no water or electricity but had something much better … some spas with 40 ° water, where I was in the late afternoon and during the night watching the fantastic Andean sky with negative temperatures outside!
The second day was the hardest day! I left well in the morning and went to visit the geysers, which are at an altitude of 5200m, a new record! I visited the colorado lagoon, always with bad roads, and close to falling more than 20 times, without any exaggeration! My average was 20km / h to walk well, always between 4000 and 5000m in altitude, after 8 hours at the wheel comes the worst path… it was pure desert sand, the sun setting, the whole weight on the rear of the bike and the nearest pueblo at 50km! Result 3 falls, brave somersaults, bruises and gps and broken cell phone, all in just one hour, and in the whole day I only saw in the morning the 4×4 that make the adventure tours here! Finally, I managed to reach the pueblo at night and find accommodation!
