After all the kilometers to Mendoza, I was very well received by Nicolas Giarrizzo at his home, where I spent the night and shared my breakfast today! How did I meet Nicolas? Thanks to my friend Nico that we were doing an exchange together in Florianópolis, Brazil, and I barely told him that I was going to Mendoza, which is his city, he made himself available to speak with friends for me to be received! Thank you very much to both!
It was a day to review the demonic! When I arrived I told my project and my goal of passing Paso Los Libertadores, in the Andes mountain range, at that time of the year when temperatures were around -15 degrees, at 3000 meters and a few meters above sea level. How logical they thought he was crazy and made a point of calling the border police to find out about the weekend’s forecast! What’s more, I didn’t have equipment for this type of temperature and they offered me new thermal gloves! After I lost my gloves on the trip and bought about 5 euros, it was just what I needed! My thanks to the dealership Centro MZA in Mendoza!
