This week, when I left Monaco, I followed the Alps towards Turin, Italy. Unfortunately I couldn’t get there … I was going at about 30 km / h in the sharp turns of the Alps, because one of the straps that held the rear bags broke and I had to be very careful.
Almost arriving in Sospel, France, I only felt a brutal impact on the rear of the bike that threw me 10 meters across the floor, clinging to the “super lupine”, I got stuck under the bike and it was only after some time that some cars and motorcycles passed by and came help get it off me. The car that hit me in the rear decided to run away and leave me lying there without any assistance !!!!!!
The area I was most affected by was the knee because the tar scraped it to the bone… the rest were abrasions all over the right side and a strong bruise on the hip. But luckily nothing serious… I’m ready for another one!
The bike went to the Honda of Menton and the ACP got me a trailer and a hotel stay for free in this city, thank you!
The restaurant La Grille D’or (Portuguese) since the day of the accident offered me all the meals and the Portuguese community in Menton received me in a simply incredible way, they gave me everything! I am forever grateful!
The bike had its rear completely destroyed, but the fundamental has been fixed. There is no rear brake, but you can go on!
